General Conditions of Sale

These general conditions apply to all Hôtel KANDAHAR guests. Every booking implies that the customer agreed upon the present general conditions of sale.

GENERAL GUEST OBLIGATIONS

The customer agrees to use all the facility of  the hôtel in accordance with the present conditions of sale. The guest can not accomodate other people than those provided at time of reservation, without the express consent of the hotel management.

RESERVATION POLICY

To confirm the booking, we require the effective payment of a deposit, 30 % of the total amount of the stay. Once paid, this deposit runs as a guarantee and will be held by the hotel in case of cancellation or shortened stay (article 1590 of the French Civil Code). Deposit is deducted from the outstanding bill provided that the booking has been fully respected.

CANCELLATION

In case of a cancellation or a modification of the stay (changes of dates, shorten stay) less than 30 days prior to arrival, the deposit is fully retained by the Hotel as a guarantee. In case of modifications of the stay once in the hotel and especially in case of anticipated departures, the total amount of the stay is due according to the agreed booking terms as confirmed in the reservation.

About our Cancellation policy regarding Covid 19 we will refund the deposit until the day before arrival if

– Should EITHER your Government restrict non-essential travel to our destination OR our French government close services and businesses. We will ask for a proof of address.

- Quarantine set up by the originating country of the client when returning from France. But in case the reservation was made while the originating country already had a quarantine settled by his governement no refund will be possible. Reservation was then made with full knowledge of that situation. Quarantine of the hotel.

- French governement instruction implementing the ski lifts and ski resorts closing.

- One of the future guest of the room not the group is tested positive to Covid 19 in the past 14 days prior arrival medical certificate required.

It is reminded to the client, in accordance with article L. 121-21-8 12° of the Consumer Code it does not have the right of withdrawal as provided in article L.121-21 of the Code Consumption. All cancellation must be sent by email. Only the date of receipt by Le KANDAHAR is valid. This cancellation will be accepted only after a written confirmation by the hôtel. If cancellation occurs more than 30 days before arrival the total amount of the deposit will be refunded.

NO SHOW

In case of a no-show the booking is automatically cancelled. The full amount of the stay initially booked will be due and the deposit paid is kept.

EARLY DEPARTURE

Any stay, once started, must be paid in full. In case of early departure, the amount of the stay as specified in the booking confirmation will be due in full.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check in on day of arrival is 4 PM and check out on day of departure is 11 AM. If you want to ski on your day of departure, your belongings can be stored in the luggage room. Upon your return to the slopes, showers are available in the sauna and steam room.

ROOM ALLOCATION

The hotel promises to do its best to respect all the guest preferences, but cannot guarantee, under any circumstances, a particular room number, floor or decoration style.

NON-SMOKING

All our rooms are strictly non-smoking. We request our guests to smoke only outside on the balcony. If smells of cigarettes and/or damages due to tobacco consumption are inflicted in the room, the hotel may reserve the right to invoice the cost of the cleaning service.

RESTAURANT

BREAKFAST

A buffet breakfast is available from 7.30 AM to 10 AM. No extra charge for the buffet. Except products not available in the buffet are with supplement (fresh squeezed orange juice, expresso…). Room service for continental breakfast is available from 8:00 am to 10.00 am. Includes: Hot drink, orange juice, pastries, bread, butter, jam. All other requests will be charged.

HALFBOARD

Halfboard is taken in our restaurant La Taverne d’Alsace. Dinner is served every evening from 7 PM to 7.30 PM. For a later dinner, please ask the restaurant.
The 3-course menu is a set menu. It includes a choice between the soup of the Day or a starter, a choice between 2 mains (usually meat or fish) and a choice between cheese or dessert. Changes are not possible in this menu. The half board option is not available to persons with special diets (gluten intolerance, vegetarians, salt free, lactose free...). Those persons can otherwise choose from our wide array of dishes available on our "A la Carte". Meals not taken on halfboard basis are not refundable or postponed.

OTHER INFORMATIONS

Animals are accepted in the room with a supplement of 25 € per day, per animal (does not include meals).

Rates does not include the visitors tax. This has to be paid extra at time of departure.

We have an inside garage in the hotel on request.
